The basic goal of science education is to enhance students' scientific literacy, and having a good understanding of "Nature of Science" (NOS) has been critical elements for developing scientific literacy of all learners. The teachers pay important role in the science education, and their understanding of NOS will affect teachers' behavior which affects students' view on NOS.This research is intended to know the physics teachers' view on NOS in our country , and to investigate the impacts of a nature of science program upon physics teachers. We investigate physics teachers by Understanding of the Nature Science Scale. From the dates, we have a view of physics teachers' view on NOS. Then we design dominant curriculum about NOS, and carry on the teaching experiment on physics teachers. Our work show some results as follows:The physics teachers in our country had some understanding of NOS at moderate level before the experiment.There is no significant difference about view on NOS between the male teachers and female teachers.There is no significant difference about view on NOS between the old teachers and young teachers.The dominant curriculum about NOS can improve the physics teachers' view on NOS significantly to the point that the physics teachers have a good understanding of NOS at high level.The results from our study were complicated: The physics teachers' view on NOS often depended very strongly on the content of the dominant curriculum and the teaching way.In order to improve the physics teachers' view on NOS, we suggest that:It is necessary and meaningful to increase the content about NOS in scientific curriculum standard and to improve students' view on NOS in our country .We should increase the content about NOS in the teacher continuing education.
