India's Primary And Secondary School Teachers In-service Education System Construction And Development

In-service education of school teachers has increasingly drawn general attention of all the countries in the world of today. Improvement of quality of school education and development of specialization of school teachers have become the focus of the world's attention. People have gradually realized that depending on pre-service education of school teachers once and for all cannot meet the demands of specialization of school teachers and in-service education of school teachers has been considered a most important stage for teachers' specialization. The education of this stage is more beneficial to teachers' specialization and improvement of quality of school education. India is a great developing country in Asia, and since its independence, India has laid great emphasis on in-service education of school teachers. This thesis describes the establishment and development of institution of in-service education of school teachers in India from the aspects of policy making, various enforcement bodies and flexible training forms, analyzes the achievements and the problems in the development of in- service education of school teachers in India, and puts forth effort to probe into inspiration by which we develop in- service education of school teachers further in our country.
