| Through documents, questionnaires, interviewing experts, data statistics and logic analysis, I studied some gym clubs in Anhui province (Wuhu, Maanshan, Tongling, Anqin) in terms of the business conditions, management, the gym instuctors and consumers. By analyzing the construction, present conditions, existing problems and effect elements, I put forward the corresponding strategies.The study results: 1. The general conditions of the clubs: the gym clubs in Anhui province started late and mainly in middle and small scales with simple facilities. The content and the projects of these clubs are almost the same, lacking specialty, so the benefit is just so so. 2. The management: there are few managers who are both good at gymnastics and management, so most clubs almost use the same promoting method and manage in a simple and traditional way. The clubs are mainly in the form of individual business, while the chain management only takes a small proportion. 3. The instructors: the instructors of these clubs in Anhui province are younger in average with higher level of education, but with different qualities. Minority received professional training and acquired certifications, while most of them work without certification and with low pay. 4. Consumers: majority of the consumers are young and middle-aged people, especially the female taking up over 50 percent. They all received higher level of education, with the motivation of body building and losing weight, but with lower level of consumption.Development strategy: accelerate the construction and development of the gym clubs in Anhui province; improve the management of gym clubs; strengthen and standardize the gym instructors; pay attention to guiding the fitness awareness and consumption concept of the consumers. |
