Innovative Capacity Development Of University Teachers

Along with the advent of knowledge economy and the building of the national innovation system, the construction of university teacher's ability to innovate has become a concerned issue by people. Promoting the development of university teacher's innovation capability is the key to improving the universities'teaching level and cultivating the creative students. Also it is the important topic in the modernization of higher education in china.This paper uses the material analysis, quantitative research and comparative research methods. Starting from the connotation of university teacher's innovation capability, the paper analyzes its present situation, both positive and negative. Then the paper discusses some factors influencing the development of university teacher's innovation capability in perspective of personal, organization, economy and culture. And last, based on the relevant theories of higher education, creative psychology and management, the paper puts forward four mechanisms, and tries to discuss some measures taken to promote development of university teacher's innovation capability.The innovative points lie in: (1)applying the knowledge of higher education, higher education management and creative psychology to research the problems and construction strategies, thus realizing the combination of theory and practice; systematically research the development of university teacher's innovation capability in the background of building the innovative China to realize the combination of macro and micro research.(2) According to the analysis of the ability to innovate , the paper defines the connotation of university teacher's innovation capability. It means the capacity that the university teachers apply the novel and unique insights into teaching and research to find effective educational ways and produce the scientific research results used to promote social progress.(3)The paper clearly points out the development of university teacher's innovation capability influenced by the working together of teachers and environment, and puts forward four dynamic mechanism of the development of university teacher's innovation capability, that is psychological dynamic mechanism, interest-driven mechanism, the driving force for cooperation mechanisms and guarantee mechanism. These four dynamic mechanisms laid the theory foundation for the strategies of the development of university teacher's innovation capability.
