Beijing's Minimum Wage Standard Statistical Calculation Methods

Minimum Wage Guarantee System aims to guarantee the basic living standards of a worker and his family, protect the workers' interests, and promote fair competition amongst enterprises. This thesis studies basic situation, determinants, measurement methods in terms of minimum wage.Taking Beijing as an empirical example, this thesis is based on the on-the-spot investigation to gather the first-hand data so as to perform the scientific research for the current situation and determinants of Beijing Minimum wage. And then, this theis introduces and carries out empirical analysis for existing minimum wages measurement methods. Furthermore, this thesis innovatively adopts United Panel Linear Expenditure System and Combinative Prediction as minimum wage mearement methods in order to supply scientific basis for Beijing municipal government'decision-making in minimum wage standard adjustment.
