With the deepening reforms of historical curriculum in middle school, historical sources teaching has attracted more and more attention by history teachers of home and abroad. And its importance not only lies in the value of historical sources teaching, but also the discussion about historical sources teaching strategy. Therefore, it's of significance to draw on the experience of historical sources teaching of other countries and to promote the development of theories and practice of our historical sources teaching.The exploration of historical sources teaching has been carried out in the USA Since 1960s and we have been dedicated to drawing on the meaningful teaching experience from the American scholars with insisting on the strongpoint of our traditional education.So based on the teaching theories and teaching practices, this paper analyzes and researches the value of historical sources teaching, instruction on teaching methods and teaching strategies between the USA and China, such as Doing History, Role Playing, Resources of networks etc in the USA and The usage of historical sources in schoolbooks, Class Drama, Multimedia Teaching, History Theses etc in China. In order to promote our further study on historical sources teaching, the paper will attach importance to explore and discuss similarities and differences of historical sources teaching between the USA and China with these teaching strategies.The thesis consists of five parts:In the first part, the author mainly put forward the question on the following research and introduced some relevant researches by history teachers of home and abroad. Meanwhile, the basic way about the research has been well defined.In the second part, Some relevant concepts and basic characteristics about historical sources have been defined so as to instruct students to know these materials bearing the weight of history information.In the third part, recommend the historical sources teaching in America from the instruction on teaching methods, the value of historical sources teaching and four teaching strategies. And the author mainly researches and supplies some methods for these teaching practices.In the fourth part, expound the historical sources teaching in China. Based on the teaching theories and teaching practices, this paper analyzes and researches the value of historical sources teaching, instruction on teaching methods and five teaching strategies so as to supply some operable methods used for reference for historical sources teaching.In the fifth part, Based on the former discussion on the teaching theories and teaching practices, the five similarities and three differences of historical sources teaching between the USA and China are proposed, looking forward to insisting on our merits on traditional education as well as absorbing actively meaningful attainment of historical sources teaching in America. |
