| Germany has a long history of higher education, whose advanced mode was followed by so many countries, leading the way in the field. But since the 20th century came, due to the influence of multiple elements, numerous problems have come forth with leadership lost gradually. The arising of these problems has not only baffled the further development of the higher education of Germany, but also brought inadvantage influences towards its economic and social development. And thus, how to improve the quality of higher education, remold its international image and exert the impeller function of higher education in economic development better under the circumstance of higher education internationalization and European integration has been a critical problem coming up to the government of Germany and its higher education circle.Since the 1990s, the government of Germany has put forward and implemented series of reformation measures, among which some are in conformance with the social development, exerting significant functions, while the others are not so good to fulfill the wishes. But in general, the reformation has shown its positive promotion power. After introducing the tradition and status of the higher education of Germany, the paper has been keen on the conclusion and analysis over the existing problems in such aspects as German higher education management system, degree educational system, personnel salary system, financial system, international communication and cooperation and so on, setting forth the reformation measures in these aspects in detail. Besides, the paper has also given remarks upon the effects, shortcomings as well as expectation of the reformation so as to present a rather overall understanding of the reformation of the higher education of Germany. |
