As an educationally developed country, features of higher education in Canada should not be ignored. Different from previous research, this paper aims at learning from it to improve the reformation of Chinese university's education and teaching, by means of studying the 3 features of it. There are 4 chapters in this paper. The first chapter is introduction, which gives a brief outlook of Canadian higher education. The second chapter introduces the 3 features of Canadian higher education, namely, university autonomy, cooperative education and internationalization. University autonomy is achieved with the help of bicameralism. Bicameralism in governance structure contains two legislative bodies, i.e. governing board and senate. Cooperative education helps students integrate practice with learning. Internationalization in Canadian higher education is of great importance. The reason for internationalization is generally summarized as political, economic, academic, and social-cultural. In the third chapter, situations and problems of Chinese higher education related to the 3 aspects are examined. Based on the Canadian experiences, corresponding suggestions are put forward to improve university autonomy, cooperative education and internationalization in China. With respect to university autonomy reformation in China, four relationships need to be coordinated, which are the relation between the government's macro-administration and the management of universities, the relation between centralization and multiplicity of administration, the relation between transferring rights and giving rights and the relation between rights and responsibility. In addiction, three measures are suggested: rights must be transferred gradually; different types of university should be granted different autonomous rights in conformity with their status; and government, society and universities must work together. With regard to cooperative education reformation in China's higher education, seven countermeasures are put forward, such as facilitating the construction of innovative cooperation system of industry, universities and research institutes; establishing special funds and expanding research financing channels; developing intermediate social organizations serving science and technology, etc. On internationalization reformation of higher education in China, three suggestions are recommended as follows: searching for the cost-benefit balance point of both parties of the cooperation, and searching for foreign educational institutions with the purpose of educational support as cooperators; establishing and complementing specific encouraging policy for cooperative programs in western provinces of China; in addition, introducing high quality educational resources to raise the level of cooperatively-run schools. The fourth chapter is the conclusion, which gives a summary of the paper.
