| The work of ideological and political education is the lifeline, dominating all other works. The reform and development of universities are concerned with the ideological and political work. And also, the cultivation of college students is also concerned with such a work. In the work of ideological and political education in universities, the instructors are the backbone of carrying it out. They undertake the concrete work of ideological and political education for college students and their daily managing, providing guide and service of their growth. Since the establishment of instructor-system in our universities, the instructors have played an active role and have made a lot of work for cultivating moral and talented students through different stages.As the new century is coming, the world competition is becoming hotter and hotter. The knowledge-based economy has increasingly dominated the world. International competition has focused on the high-level talents with innovative abilities. The higher education is growing with the practice of reform-and-opening policy and the development of socialist modernization. Under such a new situation, some defects of the ideological and political education in our universities are emerging. The building of contingent of instructors needs to be strengthened due to those new situations and problems that the students'work is facing. The universities should take effective measures to strengthen such a building and strive to set up a high-qualified contingent of instructors with eligible political standpoints.This article contains four parts, analyzing the building of the contingent of instructors under new situations.The first part is about the significance of strengthening such a building in universities. Under the new situation, such efforts would be conducive to the cultivation of eligible talents, healthy growth of college students and the reform, stability and development of universities. Therefore, strengthening the building of contingent of instructors and enhancing their qualities are the demanding of times. It is an urgent work.The second part is mainly reviewing the history of instructors-system in our country, including its birth and process of development. By doing so, the instructors-system will be impressive to us. The achievements in the building of the contingent of instructors in our universities are also mentioned and concluded in this part. Undoubtedly, the instructors-system in our universities has solid foundations, good traditions and great achievements. The history has proved that such a system is conformed to our socialist higher education enterprise. We have gained valuable experience from practices. This kind of system is a right model of cultivating eligible constructors and successors.The third part uncovers the problems in the building of contingent of instructors in our universities by basing on the analysis of the status quo. The reasons are also mentioned in the analysis. There are three aspects named deviations of cognitions, lack of instruction and low qualified instructors that related to those reasons, including reasons of history, changes of times, immaturity of higher education system, instructors and students themselves and so on. The reasons of instructors are particularly mentioned and analyzed in this part.The fourth part is focused on the new meditations and concrete measures of consummating the instructors-system. Those measures consist of the definitions of instructors'role and their duties, consummations of the system, promotions of instructors'qualities, and orientations to the development of specialized and professionalized contingent of instructors. With a hope of drawing lessons from analysis and making contributions to the ideological and political educations of college students, this article tries to offer the comprehensive measures of strengthening the buildings of instructors in the universities. |
