Chinese is the most important intercommunicating tool, and is the vital part of Chinese culture. The unification between instrumental nature and human nature of Chinese is the basic feature of Chinese course.The instrumental nature of Chinese means that students are able to be proficient in using language as a tool and successfully participate in their intercommunicating activities after they have finished studying of Chinese course.The human nature of Chinese indicates how to make human become perfect and it includes many content such as dignity ,value, personality, ideal, faith, moral character and sentiment. It incarnates all the requirements of ability education, which serves for human's development, covering idea, culture, aesthetics , expansibility and creativity.For a long time, the Chinese teaching in our country especially in middle schools only emphasizes the instrumental nature of Chinese and ignore the human nature of Chinese, which weakens enormously its soul education function and restricts students'development of bodies and minds. At the same time, other nations pay more attention on soul education. So it is very important to stress human nature of Chinese during teaching Chinese.In this article, I will discuss how to make soul education filter into Chinese teaching to unify instrumental nature and human nature of Chinese, to sufficiently exert teaching characteristics of Chinese subject, and to offer students more opportunities to develop their different abilities in middle schools by analyzing respectively classical Chinese, ancient poetries and narrating articles with my practical experiences about Chinese teaching.
