Contemporary College Students Ethical Issues Discussed

Morality reflects and adjusts the relations of people's interests in the society. As a result of human's civilization, morality also reflects the development degree of the civilization. Marxist ethnics puts forward that: we use morality to evaluate a person's behavior through public opinions, innermost believes and traditional customs, and it is also a criterion and principle to adjust the relations between a individual and the society. Morality has a great significance in improving a person's relation with society, cultivating a good society morality, promoting a harmonious development between spiritual and material civilization, and so on. Particularly, morality plays an important role in the growing up of the college students who want to become a useful person to the society.At present, the mainstream of the morality of college students is positive. They can knit closely their personal development with the future of their motherland. In the mean time, although market economy provides college students with various opportunities to choose as our country's reform goes further, we should see the drawbacks of the market economy, for instance, spontaneous blindness, short-term sightedness, stimulated consumption, etc., which bring many negative effects to the college students. As a result, there are many new problems exiting among the college students such as academic plagiarism, careerism, self-centeredness, uncivilized amatory behaviors etc. These things make a new issue for us to discuss.In this dissertation, we firstly analyze the causes for problems we have mentioned above, and then we offer some suggestions to the college students'morality cultivation in four particular aspects—academic morality, morality in consuming, morality in obtaining jobs, and morality in love.
