This article , which is based on the idea of cooperative learning and supported by an example of teaching and learning activities about cooperative learning, illustrates how the strategies of cooperative learning are carried out in Grade Nine chemistry teaching and learning activities including both in-class and after class teaching activities. It also focuses on exploring the new strategies of cooperative learning in the chemistry revision lessons for the entrance exam to senior high school. Comments and suggestions are given to other teachers on how to carry out cooperative learning in their own teaching and learning activities.The first part of the article, the introduction, is mainly about the concept of the cooperative learning. It also talks about the latest results of the researches done to the cooperative learning both in China and abroad. The backgrounds and the motives of the researches are also mentioned in this part.The second part focuses on the basic theories, including the basic ideas of cooperative learning and the basic teaching strategies of my research.The third part of the article is the main content of my research on the strategies of the cooperative learning in the Grade Nine chemistry teaching and learning activities. It is made up of three parts----how to carry out the cooperative learning in class, in the after-class teaching and learning activities and in the chemistry revision lessons for the entrance exam to senior high school.The last part presents the conclusions of my research, my suggestions and some problems that are not solved yet. |
