The Non-normative Student Evaluation Study Of The Value Orientation

In current education research, education evaluation has received increasing attention, in which student evaluation is of crucial significance among the correlating factors. When students are evaluated, people are inclined to use certain value orientation whether consciously or not. In this sense, value orientation in students' evaluation is an unavoidable problem for any evaluator. Under the influence of the education reform of "educate in life" as well as the evaluation notion of "developmental student evaluation", non-normative student evaluation has received common recognition .This research probes into non-normative student evaluation and its value orientation based on the following assumption: the establishment of scientific value orientation of non-normative student evaluation is the precondition and base for a proper function of non-normative student evaluation.Firstly, this paper elaborates the theoretic base of non-normative student evaluation, which includes its related concepts as well as their relationship. On the base of a good understanding of basic concepts, this research surveys traditional non-normative student evaluation from a critical point of view, indicates the existing problems of the traditional non-normative student evaluation and analyzes its value orientation. Secondly, this research argues the main basis for the establishment of non-normative student evaluation from the psychological and philosophical point of view. Lastly, in connection with the deviation of traditional non-normative student evaluation as well as combining the basis it establishes, this research puts forward some suggestions for the choice of the scientific value orientation of non-normative student evaluation.
