In view of the situation that social morals and social values are gradually getting pluralist according to the basic spirit of the "second-phase" curriculum reform in Shanghai, this essay researches the new ways of cultivating the groups of talented students in new situations. This essay preliminarily explores the new pattern of cultivating the good moral qualities of talented students based on the SHS curriculum of moral education"Creativity · Practice · Service". The main content is as follows: The first is a brief account of the curriculum's development. It looks back on the three stages of how it is formed and perfected from the preliminary idea, developing the pattern of "Three learns and three highs" in moral education. The second is working out the plan for putting the curriculum into practice, containing its aim, purpose, organization and evaluation. The third is the presentation of six typical cases from the students and the analysis of the cases. The fourth is the summary of the effect after years of practice. It is mainly reflected through students' enthusiasm for the curriculum, the improvement of their creativity, the expansion of the activity scope, the improvement of the students' creative personality, creative thinking and intellectual ability of interpersonal relationship, the enhancement of responsibility and the sustainable development of thinking.Finally,introspection of the existing problems. We are thinking that the curriculum willl be prefected from four aspects: Giving further play to the teachers' instruction, strengthening the management, improving the system of evaluation and encouraging the students to combine creativity and practice. The "Creativity · Practice · Service"(CPS) curriculum of SHS is a new one, which meets the demands of the curriculum reform of modern moral education and conforms to the trend that moral education should return to the real world of life. It enables talented students to realize self-understanding and serving society by practice.
