With increasing deepening of Higher Education reform and development of civilexercise doctrine, our society requires higher and higher standard of employers.Whether university graduates, especially graduates majored in Physical Education couldadjust to the blooming society depends on their lifelong learning awareness and theirabilities to learn new things. In addition, the production of Graduates majored in PhysicalEducation greatly exceeds the needs of society. The society holds a critical attitude onthem. Therefore, the New Lessons Schedule of Physical Education in higher schoolsespecially put emphasis on the problem of reform of learning methodology, that is tochange traditional passive and mechanical way of learning. Unfortunately, aerobicseducation of Physical Education students nowadays is sticking to such a traditional wayof learning. Such kind of learning methodology results in unitarity of our graduates whoare trained with good skills and poor theoretical attainment and adaptability. In all, theincreasing progress of aerobics education and the conversion of learning methodologyare urgent requirements for social development and teaching reform of PhysicalEducation in higher schools. It is partially proved in experiment that, the emphasis on the student's metacognitivetraining in PE teaching is intend to bring a breakthrough in traditional teaching mode, which automatically changes the role of teacher in teaching and therefore establishesstudent's principal status in teaching so as to activate their abilities of self-taught. So, weshould make use of contemporary Congnitive Psychology principle and metacognitivetraining in our aerobics study. Teachers should lead students to automatically andeffectively supervise, evaluate and modify his learning process and learning method, topromptly carry out internal inspection on the learning result so that students couldimprove their self-taught autonomy and analytical capability of solving problems. It's acritical factor for the improvement of teaching quality of PE students in higher schools.Such kind of training tends to create an easy and highly efficient teaching methodologyfor aerobics teaching. In this article, the author uses following methods in study: 1) research on literaturesand materials; 2) questionnaire survey; 3) inspection and recording; 4) expert interview; 5) experiments; 6) logistic statistics; 7) logical analysis, etc. After a whole term'steaching experiment(15weeks, 2 classes a week), the author initially draws followingconclusions:1. On the ground my investigation, most students have slim metacognitive awarenessbefore experiment, though such awareness is of low level. There is no obviousdifference between the experimental group and comparison group. After theexperiment, a great difference appeared between the two groups. It is proved thatafter the experiment the experimental group's metacognitive awareness is muchhigher than the comparison group. I conclude that it is feasible to carry outmetacognitive training in PE students. It's doomed to achieve obvious effect.2. After metacognitive training, the experimental group students' leaming ability is farbetter than that of comparison group students. It is proved that the teaching method isbeneficial for the improvement of learning ability of PE students.3. Metacagnitive training is good to the cultivating of creativity of PE students. As isshown after the experiment, students' creativity in aerobics composition variesgreatly between experimental group and comparison group. The experimental groupstudents' creativity in aerobics composition is obviously superior to the comparisongroup. It further proved that metacagnitive training could improve the students'creativity.4. Teaching methodology of metacagnitive training does good to the cultivation ofteaching capability of PE students. Seen from the result of the experiment, theexperimental group students' teaching ability of aerobics is obviously better than thatof the comparison group. It is proved that metacagnitive training could improve PEstudents' teaching ablity.5. To add metacagnitive training to PE students' class is a reform of traditional teachingmode as well as students' way of learning. It provides reference to the reform of bothaerobics teaching and students' way of learning.
