The moral education of our country has a long history, and Confucian moral education plays a very important role in China's traditional education. Under the socialist economic construction, East-West cultural conflicts and problems that exist in our moral education have a bad effect on the moral quality of the middle school students of China. Among the secondary school students, there exist some unhealthy ideas and behaviors that are not in keeping with the social development. To change this unhealthy phenomenon, the moral education to the secondary school students must be strengthened.In China's history, Confucian ideas have affected China's economy, culture and education. The role and status of Confucian ethical ideas in ethical construction in our country have gained growing concern. In the ideological and moral education of the secondary school students, the good component of Confucian ethical ideas should be taken in. We should foster the students' ethical ideas.The essay consists of four parts:One: a brief introduction of problems existing in the citizens' moral quality.Two: a brief introduction of the emergence and development of Confucian ethical ideas.Three: the illustration of the unhealthy behaviors, opinions and the causes.Four: emphasis the application of Confucian ethical ideas of the moral education in secondary schools.
