Beibei District, Education For Sustainable Development

Sustainable development, as a new way of development, aims to make economy, society, technology, human, resource and environment develop continuously and harmoniously to unite intergenerational equity and intergenerational equity and recognize the overall development of human being. Sustainable development has become the trend in the world and developed from concept to action. It has been accepted by more and more people and has become a common goal for the people all over the world.Beibei District, Chongqing is the national pilot district, where the strategic plan for sustainable development concerns economy, society, culture, education, technology and environment and so on. Education, as the supporting framework of sustainable development, should focus on its own sustainable development. Based on this view, this paper will illustrate the sustainable development of education in Beibei District, Chongqing.The first part analyzes the relationship between sustainable development of education and sustainable development of economy from the perspectives of the educational significance, educational ideology and educational support of sustainable development and points out that education is the most important supporting system as well as an organic part in sustainable development of Beibei District, Chongqing.The second part analyzes the present situation and the challenges of education in Beibei District, Chongqing. First, the development of education is behind economy development. Second, the notion and the ideology of education are behind times. Third, educational development is not adaptable to economy development. Fourth, pedagogical methods are far from the purpose of education. Fifth, educational models and forms are simplistic. Sixth, the strength of educational reform is not enough.The third part points out the strategies for sustainable development of education in Beibei District, Chongqing. First, we should develop the forward, sustainable, harmonious and overall ideology of education and make the breakthrough and update development of educational ideology as a guide. Second, the following measures should be adopted to realize the sustainable development of Beibei District, Chongqing: we should consolidate the fundamental education and develop vocational education in accordance with the direction of market. At the same time, we should bring the support of higher education into full play. And we also should make the inservice training according to different needs. Third, we should strengthen the educational reform and promote the overall level of education.
