Situation and policy education refers to the ideological and political education for thecontents of the domestic and international situation and the policies of the party and the state.Its basic mission is to help the students correctly understand the situation and the guidelinesand policies of the party and the state, improve ideological and political qualities, and guidethe students to build correct world outlook and outlook on life and value.Situation and policy education, guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thoughts,Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thinking of "three represents"and the line, principlesand policies of the party and the state, uphold the socialist political orientation. The content ofsituation and policy education is developing, changing and showing obvious dynamic.Situation and policy education is carried out towards the hot and difficult issues which thestudents concern and the students' ideological levels. Situation and policy education enablesthe students to acquire related knowledge and enhance their levels of knowledge. Situationand policy education is open.Situation and policy education is an important content of moral education in the schooland an important part of the ideological and political education together with the daily moraleducation and politics. The situation and policy education plays an irreplaceable role inideological and political education.Today, the international situation is changing and taking on a developing trend ofpolitical multipolarization, economic globalization and cultural diversity. It has alreadybrought new challenges to the moral education of the secondary vocational school. Thecomplex and changing international political situation demands that the secondary vocationalschool's moral education should adhere to the correct direction. The conflict of economicglobalization demands the students to improve the ability to resist the economic temptation.And cultural pluralism requires the cultivation of the national spirit.Quality education of the secondary vocational school especially ideological and politicaleducation is related to situation and policy education. Recurrent situation and policyeducation is not only the important basis to the enhancement of the ideological and politicalquality but also the most realistic material to the student's patriotism, collectivism andsocialistic ideological education.Situation and policy education has an important function to the students' growth andtheir study life. Firstly, it can help the students improve cognitive level. Secondly, it can guidethe students willingly support the party's line, principles and policies, strengthen socialisticideals and belives. Thirdly, it can help the students learn about the society and facilitate therealization of the socialization.Situation and policy education in the secondary vocational school should face themodernization, the world, and the future. It should proceed from the reality and stick to thecomprehensive, objective and dialectical principles, it should embody the scientificdevelopment concept and insist on the idea of people foremost.The classroom activity is an important to the situation and policy education. Thesecondary vocational school should organize students to take an active part in some activitiesand social practices in their spare time. It should strengthen the cultivation of campus cultureand create a moral atmosphere, it should let campus network play an important part in thesituation and policy education.It is necessary for the secondary vocational school to establish a sound leadershipsystem, working mechanism in the situation and policy education, and the education shouldbe standardization and institutionalization. The teacher staff is the key to the situation andpolicy education, so it is important for the secondary vocational school to improve thesituation and policy teacher's overall aptitude.
