| The modern distance education is a new style education mode, produced withthe modern information technology development. It is the main method to constructthe lifelong learning system in the knowledge economic age. In recent years, alongwith the Internet coming into the people's daily life, the distance education isdeveloping rapidly. In 1999, only four universities had carried out the distanceeducation technique. Now it has been taken on in 68 universities, established 9subjects, and 153 specialties, with registered students nearly 2500,000. The distanceeducation have been playing an unique and not substituted role in changing theserious population burden to human resources superiority,in forming the society oflife-long learning for all,in promoting human's full scale development.The essential character of the web-based education is the separation in spaceand time of the teacher and student, or the separation of the behavior of teaching andlearning. The students no longer study in the conventional classroom at the certaintime with the teacher face-to-face, and could not gain directly constant guidance fromthe teacher. Those characteristics determined the teaching and learning must take thelearner as the center, and the leanrner must implement self-regulated learning.Therefore, the training of the ability of self-regulated learning becomes more andmore urgency. With the guidance of the theory of long-distance education and thetheory of study, this thesis discussed how to develop the self-regulated learning abilityof the E-learning course learner, through the literature research and experimentresearch. We expect that every student could raise his regulated-learning ability andbecome an expert in learning.This thesis composed by five chapters. Chapter 1 discusses the researchsignificance and method. Chapter 2 is the outline of E-learning course andregulated-learning. In this chapter mainly introduces the meaning, the characteristicscomponents as well as the four key processes of E-learning course, analyses themeaning of self-regulated learning in the tradition education and web-based education.Chapter 3 introduces the learning strategy of regulated learning and the model ofexpert studying style, elaborates the interactive medium and its function. Chapter 4discusses the experiment result of developing self-directed study ability in E-learningcourse. It was the main section of this thesis. At first this section investigates andanalyses the feature , motivation, learning style, learning disorder of the students inweb-based education,then carries out the study strategy teaching, monitoring,estimating, and interaction to the student , applies the web serviced tool—weblog topromote the developing of learner's metcognition, utilize study strategy so as to thelearners can always carry the self-monitoring, examining ,estimating and judging ontheir study plan and learning process. Finally compares and analyses the result of theexperiment with the students study situation before.In chapter 5, the author explainsthe shortage of the research and looks forward to following research. |
