With the widespread promotion of Quality-oriented Education and the complete implementation of curriculum reform, this study examines the effects of personal learning styles and learning approaches on Learning Performance under A Hypermedia-based Learning Environment for the purpose of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude Masses.Learning style and learning approach on Learning Effectiveness are also examined. This study uses the learning styles inventory (LSI) of Kolb to classify learners into two groups -- Active Experimentation and Reflective Observation. Moreover, the learning approach is divided into two types ,that is Linear and Non-linear.In my experimentation,a total of 73 students of grade 2004 are sampled from Ri Zhao Vocational and Technology College, and the course of 《Snow White》 is taken as experimental subject.Statistical analysis is conducted by using the SPSS 11.0 software package. Besides Multivariate Analysis of Covariance, Correlation Analysis is conducted to analyze the data. The conclusions are listed as:1. Learning style and learning approach significantly influent Learning Performance.2. Learning Performance is determined by interaction between learning style and learning approach.3. Students whose learning styles are based on Active Experimentation make better learning performance while using Web-based Non-linear Learning.4. Students whose learning styles are based on Reflective Observation make better learning performance while using Web-based linear Learning.5. The two learning approaches differ significantly in Learning Performance when the students' learning styles are based on Active Experimentation. The Non-linear Learning is better.6. The two learning approaches do not differ significantly in Learning Performance when student's learning style is based on Reflective Observation. The Non-linear Learning is better.According to the conclusions above,I wonder if I can make a few suggestions to the total information for academic researchers following-up, frontline teachers or teaching materials designers .
