The research is about the influence of the matching between learning approaches and learning styles on learning. In the 21st century, great changes have happened to the learning styles in the society and new curriculum reform. It can be indicated in foregone research, good matching between learning styles and learning approaches leads to better achievement or positive learning attitude. Different teaching methods are suitable for different learners with different learning styles. In my experimentation, geography of senior one is taken as experimental subject, and 201 students in senior one are chosen as subjects. Four learning approaches of inquiry, acceptance, cooperation and independence are experimented with the subjects. At the same time, interviewing to typical individuals are carried out. The conclusions are listed as:1. There are differences in senior one students' learning styles concerned with individual, sex and class.2. In inquiry and cooperation learning, the achievement and attitude of students in matching groups are better than those in mismatching groups. There is significant difference between students in matching groups and those in mismatching groups.3. In independent learning, there is no significant difference between students in matching groups and those in mismatching groups. But the attitude to learning in matching groups are better than those in mismatching groups.4. To some extent, different learning approaches are suitable for different learners with different learning styles.
