Transforming the new educational ideas advocated in the reform of the syllabus for basic education into actual teaching practice is a long-term and difficult task. The inadaptability of the old ideas, the divisions and patterns of cooperative teaching is uncovered as the variation of the syllabus progresses, hence the necessity of reshaping the concept of cooperative teaching, enriching and perfecting the function and the pattern of it currently practiced in elementary and secondary schools, and initiating new pattern of cooperative teaching that can help the academic growth of the teachers. New ways of the teachers' academic growth in the teamwork teaching model with the new syllabus as the guideline stem right from mutual help, resource share and co-development. The teaching practice the teachers experience, the dialogues they exchange and the thoughts they extract unveil some certain rule in the teachers' academic growth.
