The carrying out of the New Course advanced the development of history teaching reformation. It offered the convenient background and conditions for the reformation of history teaching. It made us change teaching conceptions and manners gradually during the reformation. In the line with the principle based on the facts, start from the integration of theory with practice, along the clue of the integration teaching between history and geography, this thesis wants to analyze the significance, methods, influences and so on about the integration teaching between history and geography from different points of view layer upon layer. So we can promote the development of history teaching and find a good way to train students' innovative spirit and comprehensive practice ability.This thesis is made up of three parts: the preface, the text and the conclusion.The preface introduced the character of history subject simply, the background of the integration teaching between history and geography and illustrates the academic aim o f the paper. The text is divided into four parts. Part one: Introduced the connotation and the theoretical bases of the integration between history and geography. It included the questions needing attention.Part two: Discussed the practical significance of the integration. It mainly explained from the relation between the integration and some questions' solving such as the New Curriculum Reform, the Arts Comprehensive Examination and some hot problems as environment and so on.Part three: Introduced chiefly the methods of integration. It talked about how to do it in the conventional teaching, in the Research Study, in the review for examination along with how to use the modern educational technology to integrate.Part four: Introduced mainly the effects of the integration to the history teaching concept and mode of studying. At the same time it raised the higher demands to the history teachers.The conclusion summed up the main points of the thesis. It put forwards if we want to train the new persons of no equal of his time, and let them welcome the challenge of the knowledge-economy time, we must break the boundary line of the subjects and lead students to use the history knowledge related with other subjects such as geography to analyze deeply the history problems to develop the students' ability of integrating knowledge and the comprehensive thinking ability.
