Objective and Content: In recent years, The employment rate of graduates majored in the PCM (Public Cause Management), presents a drop tendency all over the country, which is due to various reasons, however the over-fast increasing of the supply, the structure problem, little individual differences and the fierce competition are the main causes of this problem. Studying the related problems in advance will affect the living and healthy developing of this specialty and even a school. Through the analysis of the employment tendency and the situation of professional current of the graduates specialized in PCM, this paper attempts to probe the regularity of graduates' employment and job selection, offer reference for the institute reform and graduate employment guidance work, and also the theory basis for professional development and talent training.Object and Method: The object of this research is the graduate of Management Institute of Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specialized in the PCM, from 1995 to 2003. With the stop of 1996 classes, there are 8 classes in total. The method is to provide the questionnaires with the way of cluster sampling, combine with the Access database to establish a ware house for trained personnel, to descriptively analysis, regress (independence) , and inspect the statistic data.This inquiry is provided totally 141 copies of questionnaires, collect 96 copies, zero copies of invalid questionnaires, 96 copies of effective questionnaires. The totally effective rate is 68.08%, which accord with the statistics condition and requirement.Conclusion: through the research and analysis of the result of this investigation, here's the conclusion based on the situation of the employment and professional selection of the graduates specialized in PCM.1. The first employment rate of each graduate class presents to the rising tendency basically. This tendency can be divided for 1995-1998,1999-2003 two stages, every stage is in rising situation basically. Minimum point locates in 1999 class, form then on, the rate climbs to rise. From 2000, it's higher then the school average level. At 2003, it reaches the highest point, exceed 95% of the school average level.2. The employment of graduates majored in PCM is in the same profession basically, which guarantees the talent does not run off. In recent two years, graduates begin to permeate to the enterprises run by local people, which becomes a new trend of this professional graduates' employment.3. The settle of graduates in Beijing is in high proportion. The employment is centralized in large and medium-sized cities, which presents obviously the tendency that the talents flow form west to east.4. The factors affecting the employment: the personal experience during the university period, school education as well as the professional location in selects trade can affect the first employment of graduates.5. the flow of occupation occurred almost among the graduates with more than four years working experience, and the reasons centralized in the satisfaction of the job and the promotion of a better career future.6. The result of comparing studying in the choice of major course and the current teaching course shows that the arrangement of teaching course coincides with the graduates' demands and the demands are quite obvious.Suggestion:1. Take the employment direction, raise the lead of specialization education to meet the market demand.2. Strengthen the employment guidance, set up the employment consciousness of the whole cause guidance and the everyone participation.3. Help the students to change the idea of employment so as to enlarge the employment channels.4. Strengthen the education of mental health of students, and conduct the rational employment.5. Raise the comprehensive quality of student all-sided, and strengthen the employment competition ability of graduates.6.
