"land Acquisition" Event And Suburban Villages Community Change

China's urbanization process is taking place at a very fast rate, which has greatly impacted the social and economical development. Then in this course, what are the changes in suburb villages? This has aroused the author's interest.The subject of this thesis is to discuss about the transformation course of the villages in the suburbs of Shanghai caused by the land developing event in the background of urbanization .The thesis has set the thread on changes of communities near Shanghai.lt tries to analyze the relations between community changes and social changes, and meanwhile it also attempts to think about the possibility of constructing a civil society by developing the inferior society. This is very meaningful not only for realizing social rules of development in theory but also for further researches on China's reform of rural areas in practice.There are five chapters in all.The first chapter is the part of introduction. It gives a brief overview of the past researches, from which it proposes problems to be focused on and introduces the thread and the meaning of this thesis. Moreover, it describes and analyzes the theoretical analysis frame, defines core concepts, introduces research methods and points out lacks of this thesis.The second chapter is the part of introduction to theories, introducing main theoretical analysis frame and other related theories, moreover, it also refers to some other past works on the subject.The third and the fourth chapters are the part of field work. This thesis has chosen the suburbs of Shanghai. It has examined three event courses related with land-developing after liberation, that's, land-developing for the construction of our country, for building up enterprises and for withdrawing villages. It has described different roles and actions taken by the country, villages and villagers. Then it has disclosed institutional causes of changes of roles and actions. In detail, firstly, it gives general descriptions and introductions of a village in the suburbs of Shanghai. Secondly, it has taken the angle of institutions' being carried out, from the action of land-developing, analyzing the way to carry out administrative orders and their adaptable changes. Thirdly, from the angle of villagers, elites of villages and village communities, it describes their different ways of construction and deconstruction of those administrative orders in which they have formed a different new style of villages.Then it has showed how it works that the big tradition and small tradition, big culture and small culture coexist.The fifth chapter is the part of theoretical analysis and discussion .It employs the Structuration Theory of Giddens and the analytical strategy of Sun Liping of "Event and Course". At last, the author has offered some instructive thoughts in finding a way to construct a civil society in China.
