The study of Tibet has been an academic center in China today, and many scholars pay close attention to the community study in Tibetan regions. The Re village, which we chose as the subject of this thesis, lies between the Lhasa city and its country. On the basis of the others' study of the related subject, we discuss the present situation and the changes of the Re Village that is under the external force of the commodity economy and the urbanization.The main method of this research is community study, and adopting participant observation, unstructured interview combine with survey of questionnaire in practice. The article stresses the descriptive research and comparative research. The author pays attention to the comparison between Tibetan nationality culture and the Han Nationality culture, Tibet and the inland, this study and other correlative study. Thus the present situation and vicissitude of the Re village can be manifested well.This thesis is divided into seven parts: The first part is the introduction. In this part, the author discussed the selection of the research object and research subject, reviewed seniors' relevant research, and illustrate the research approach and the theory framework of this text. Second part is the overview of community, stress the geographical features of the Re village (fringe area) emphatically. The third part is the economic life. The author described economic life of the Re village, stressed the impact and the change of the development of commodity economy and the urbanization on Re village especially. At the same time, the author analyzed and probed into the land system of the Re village and the traditions that villager embody among economic life emphatically. The fourth part is the marriage and the family life of the Re village. By comparing the Tibetan nationality's marital rule, the marriage, the procreation, the decision of householder with other nationalities and societies, the author illustrated that the Re village is in the characteristic of "in vicissitude". The fifth part is the changes of the daily life. The author pays attention to the significance change of the religious life to the people, the change of the diet structure, the change of the family consumption pattern, villager's social activity, ceremony and so on. The sixth part talks about the question of non-native population and the ethnic relations. Theauthor analyses the interaction between the villagers and the external Han Nationality vegetable farmers and the external Tibetan in detail. On the basis of analysis the questionnaire to the national consciousness question, the author has put forward his own opinion on national relation and policy on ethnic affairs under market economy. The seventh part is summary. The author summarizes the above view, and stresses the two major characteristics, namely external force function and vicissitude. The author still puts forward his own suggestion on question that the Re village exists in the course of social economic development.This thesis is launched mainly around several interdynamic questions of the urbanization, commodity economy and nationality interaction. In the course of description and analysis, I have run through such a theory to suppose all the time: The existence way of a society forms culture of this society. The flexibility and the tactics in villager's livelihood are adaptation and evolution of culture. To the national relation under the market economy development, the author proposes: There must be its economic and material base to rely on in any national relations and policies on ethnic affairs, and the heterogeneity of culture can overcome or solves through economic compatibility to a certain extent.From the significance in the theory, this study will show the development of the commodity economy in the community of ethnic minority in an all- round way, and seek the blending of outside culture and local cultural system.
