With the development of our society, education should change its focus from on students' adaptation to their individuality, which is excellent students' speciality. Developing individuality is very important to be useful people. One function of Chinese teaching is to influence, change and build student's individuality, to stimulate every student's development. We manage to do that in Chinese teaching process.This thesis aims to discuss the problem of developing students' individuality in senior middle school in Chinese teaching from theory and practice perspective. And it studies the strategy in teaching practice, including the following parts: First, the content of individuality development and its particuality and base of theory. Then we pose the theory our research questions need. Second, the analysis of the present Chinese teaching: ignore to the building of students' individuality from four perspectives and the necessity to change it. Third, the participles and strategies to stimulate students' individuality in Chinese teaching, which is the body of this study, related to the three parts: 1, To be clear about the teaching target. 2, Highlight the important role of students. 3, Adjust teaching method and learning way in the process of reading, writing, activity teaching. The third part, discussion about methods of education of individuality , is the main part . Last we draw the conclusion and state the expectation to the individuality teaching development in the future.
