Moral Education And Teacher Development - The Unbalanced Nature Of Teacher Development In China And Countermeasures

With the social reformation and the prosperous development of education, teacher education has become a focus of educational research in the world, and it has become one of the important tendency of teacher education to pay attention to the teacher development. This requires higher and fresher moral quality to meet the need of teacher development. But in recent years, media has exposed some behaviours which are contrary to teachers' professional ethics. And this has become inhomogeneous with the educational reformation and teacher development. Though these are only individual phenomena, they did do harm to teachers' images in public and restrict teachers' development. This has aroused whole society's attention. On the same time, there remain a lot of problems, such as lack of theory and inefficiency in practices, which lead the education of teachers' professional ethics unfit for the new requirements. Therefore, we choose this research subject. We hope the research and study will be beneficial to the reformation of educational ethics, so we may promote the teachers' development.In the course of the research on this subject, we mainly used documentary method, investigation and researching method, etc. With the analysis and summary, we achieve a lot as following:First, the article analyses the relationship between the teacher development and the educational ethics development. On the basis of clearing up the meaning of teacher development and the course of it's development, the article expounds the thought that the educational ethics development is the heart of the teacher development, and points out the problem of teacher unbalanced development in our country.Second, the article analyses the main problems in the traditional educational ethics from the aspects of the understanding of the position, value, content process and the form and method of educational ethics. Then, the article analyses the main reasons which led to the problems of educational ethics from three aspects: society, the education of teachers' professional ethics and teachers themselves.At last, the article emphasize the necessary to reform the education of teachers' professional ethics and put forward the advice and requirements about the development and reformation of educational ethics .We think the main reason lies in the influence of traditional education. The understanding of educational ethics has fallen into a instrumental tendency. We only paid attention to the social value, and ignored the individual development and individual value. In the process of educational ethics, we only emphasized the need of teaching, therequirements of students' study, but we did not notice the teachers' need. We regarded teachers' ethics as the tool which can standardize teachers' behaviour, and ensure the result of teaching. We didn't connected educational ethics with teachers' development and pay attention to teachers' interest.On the basis of clearing up questions and problems, the article put forward the advice and requirements about the development and reformation of educational ethics on the base of human resources.In the first place, we must pay more attention to the development of teachers.In the second place, we must establish new principle ideology , we must stick to the teachers' professional moral education as the main features, we must put the theory into practice, we must insist on the individual of the educational ethics, we must insist on the democracy of it and we should keep it as life style.Thirdly, we should probe into the rule of cultivating teachers.Fourthly, we should emphasize the construction of the government to protect it.Lastly, we should reforms the way and method, improving the efficiency.This paper primarily summarize parts of problems with this researching subject. In fact, we still have a long way to go with educational ethics.
