| This thesis is based on the basic and relevant theories and practical experiences of vocational instruction from foreign countries as well as the history of vocational instruction in our country to make a profound exploration into ordinary middle school vocational instruction in China. It first briefly demonstrates the basic theories and then introduces some operation modes of vocational instruction in ordinary middle school. In the end of this thesis,some workable measures and policies are raised out in the light of specific situations in China,so as to widely spread vocational instruction in ordinary middle school.The contents of this thesis are as follows:As an advanced research,vocational instruction that is undergoing in ordinary middle school is the practical need of economic and social development. Vocational instruction helps graduates find their proper positions in community,improve comprehensive qualities of human beings and fulfill higher requirements for social and professional development.Chapter One:An Exploration into the rise of vocational instruction. Vocational instruction,as a kind of thought,was first born in Europe in the end of 17th century till the middle of 18th century,later it was introduced to America where its development was deepened because of the extremely rapid pace of capitalism. Since the sixties of 20th century,vocational instruction had gradually become the common contents in middle schools of almost all the countries in the world. This chapter is a brief review of the rise of vocational instruction and the reasons for its prospect. And it also illustrates the most influential vocational instruction theory such as Special Factors theory,Social Factors theory,Professional Development theory,Character Mode theory and Professional Policytheory. By reviewing the history of vocational instruction in China and by analyzing current situations,the writer points out that there still exists a great discrepancy between the development of vocational instruction and the actuality of our society,and many difficulties and problems need overcoming. The writer highlights the necessity and the significance of waging vocational instruction in middle schools and also sheds light on the importance and urgency of furthering vocational instruction researches and experiments in ordinary middle schools.Chapter Two:A presentation of the theories of vocational instruction in middle schools. This chapter presents the definition of ordinary middle school vocational instruction,also shows that it differs from the other forms of school vocational instruction as well as from community vocational instruction,which is centered on job-hunting instructions. It has its individual independence and its own aspiration that belongs to neither the category of moral education nor the one of ideological education. Vocational instruction includes practicing vocation diagnosis,providing profession information,presenting profession policy and coordinating job-settlement. It analyzes that the vocational instruction in ordinary middle school has orientation-guide function of students' jobs. Vocational instruction also contributes to the guide function of training target;to the whole society system,it adds the function of stability and adaptation and to the social economy,the function of micro-improvement. It mentions the implementing principles of vocational instruction in middle school including the educational principle,scientific principle,developing principle,systematical principle,assistant principle and cooperative principle.
