Currently, research-based learning is the shining dot of the latest curriculum reform and the focus attended by people. By expounding the history of production of research-based learning and era characteristic of research-based learning putting forward by our country, this article revealed that intension of research-based learning was a kind of learning way, curriculum and educational concept. Only if method of teaching is appropriate, the intrinsic content of curriculum can support launching of research-based learning at a certain extent. Therefore it is of important meaning for lucubrating mathematical research-based learning. The purpose of mathematical research-based learning is to develop students' innovation consciousness and practice ability. The basic characteristic of mathematical research-based learning is that it is the space of knowledge where students put their individual talent to good use, that it is the best training field where students' innovation consciousness was exploited, that object dealt with in mathematical research-based learning is "thing of idea", that it is beneficial for students' inspirit of studying intensively. By students from two schools answering questionnaire, with a purpose to find out all possible problems from students during mathematical research-based learning, and so as to benefit mathematical research-based learning carried out smoothly. Basing on the statistical result of these questionnaires, mathematical research-based learning ought to take developing the students' thinking as the starting point. It may take the following tactics: (1) develop the consciousness of questioning;(2) develop the consciousness of using mathematics and the ability of mathematic modeling; (3) know the process and method of scientific research and develop the mathematical creative thought. The problem of mathematical research-based learning should be novel and real, achieved and full of challenge; it should have the characteristic of application; it should be multiple and opened. When teachers put mathematic research-based learning into practice, they should reflect the principles, that students study independently, that students cooperate and commune between them, and that students apply the knowledge in practice. At the end of this article, analyzed the package problem that had been designed by Zhang Siming, to hope that it can supply for the classroom teaching of mathematical research-based learning as an example.
