The use of English teaching methods in middle schools is not used rigidly,but used flexibly "Creation is living" (Hu Chundong).In order to solve the problems existing in secondary school Englishteaching such as most of the teachers and students have been spending muchtime teaching and studying but many students still can't learn English well; aswell to change the disadvantage of in present English teach method insecondary school, this paper writer put forward a new English teaching method"Three steps, One subject" . By having studied many English teachingmethods and theories about education and psychology and summaried herseveral years' teaching experiences. In order to make a further test about theeffect of this teaching method , the writer did an experiment which lasted fortwo phases which the first is the one of exploration and the second is the one offormal experiment. "Three steps" refers to "Proper concentration~~ "Listening, ``and reading together," " output orderly' One subject" refers to students arethe main part in Englishing teaching process; students' actions are the main linethrongh the whole English lesson . The results of this experiment follow as:1. This method helps to improve the English scores of the students.2. Fulfilling the method enhances helpfully to develop theself-consciousness of the students.3. Executing this method is helpful to improve the students communicativeabilities.
