| Linguist French, F. G. thinks that speaking is the basis while listening, reading and writing are built upon it. For this reason, speaking makes a breakthrough in quality education of English. The first section of the paper analyses the current situation of spoken English in senior middle school. The second section is an outline to the latest research of tnetacognit ion in contemporary cognitive psychology. The third section tries to put a good construction in spoken English on metacognition and learning strategies. The whole paper attempts to use the theory of metacognition, the research in learning strategies, education philosophy, foreign language education and psychology, the theory in language acquisition and foreign language teaching approaches, the cultivation and supervision of intellect and non-intellect to instruct the practice and operation of the training of spoken English. |
