In recent years, the political 、 economical and cultural communications between China and Serbia are increasing, Chinese language teaching in Serbia is also flourishing. In 2012, the Serbian Ministry of Education and China Hanban signed the “Chinese Language Courses in Serbian Primary and Secondary Schools Program”, which means the Chinese language is starting in the primary and secondary schools in Serbia officially.As a Chinese volunteer teacher in Zajecarski, Serbia, Combined the experiences from the former teachers and principals, I am trying to research the situation of Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools. This paper described the status of Chinese teaching from macroscopic perspective, including the scale of Chinese teaching、faculty composition、curriculum provision、language teaching mode、teaching material、teaching conditions. Analyzed the characteristics of Chinese language, pointed out its advantages and disadvantages and putting forward some suggestions. From microcosmic perspective, recorded real cases from primary and secondary schools, combined with the suggestions from native principals and teachers, pointed out problems the Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary now facing to. I expect my paper can provide help and reference for the development of Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools in Serbia.
