With the upgrade of the requirements of the new curriculum standard reform and college entrance examination syllabus capacity, college entrance examination inclines to change from knowledge-based to ability-based teaching pattern. With more emphasis on science, technology and social contact, the physics curriculum’s test content is closely related to production and life. The effect of the current mode of teaching methods is still unsatisfactory, the most typical problem is: students find physical knowledge easy to understand, but when it comes to solving physical problems, very often,they can not work out them. Although they have well mastered the textbook knowledge, still they can not work out the problems, so the efficiency of the classroom activities is extremely low. To improve the situation, he physical model of problem solving method based on reading questions, extraction of context information as well as construction research seems to be very meaningful in improving the efficiency of classroom teaching.The ability of building physical modes and the application of problem solving skills are the basic physical qualities that the high school students should possess. This paper will focus on how to cultivate students’ problem solving ability from accurate construction of abstract images, build a physical model with the existing physical model knowledge, structure, construct physical model solution methods and techniques, improve students’ achievement, improve the efficiency of classroom teaching.This paper conducts its study from the following aspects, which are sorting out theory knowledge of physical model with literature methods, analyzing the test reform of the college entrance examination under the new curriculum and the structure of the papers, asking students their cognition of physical model-building model and application of it in solving problems in physics teaching practice by conducting a questionnaire, finally we get the conclusion:1. The achievement of constructing model method in solving problems in physics has improved significantly, in which the students with a better knowledge of the basic physical knowledge seems to have made much more progress. From the point of view of the efficiency of the classroom, the students participate in the teaching activities more actively than before. Students now are starting to form the habit of reading the questions attentively and building state image abstraction by analyzing the change of the situation. By doing so, they are improving the efficiency of problem-solving skills.2. The constructing a physical model of problem solving teaching method is conducive to enhance the grade three students’ achievement, which seems to work better on those students who have had a better class performance during the first two years of high school. At the same time, they also have enhanced their problem-solving capabilities.3. The teaching mode of building a physical model in solving physical problems not only promote the renewal and change of teachers’ teaching idea but also enhance their skills of applying multimedia information technology to their teaching process. Besides, it explores the advantages and shortcomings of classroom teaching evaluation mechanism.
