The Chinese ritual culture is a kind ofinstitutional culture formed gradually through accumulation in China. It has experienced the baptism of time, and sublimated into the national spirit quality which necessary to assist the nation’s growing stronger. Nowadays high school students know little about the excellent traditional ritual culture and some phenomenon which is not coincident with etiquette, moral cultivation and construction of spiritual civilization in their own words and deeds existed. Some rude, unruly and uncivilized behaviors sometime appeared in the high school students. Thus, to strengthen etiquette and moral education is an important content of high school ideological and political education, and is also an effective measures to cultivate and practice the socialist core values, which possesses a far-reaching significance to inherit the Chinese nation’s traditional cultures.The first part of this thesis is introduction, which mainly expounds the reasons and significance of topic selection, making a brief overview of the present research situation of traditional culture, trying to find the content related to the high school ideological and political education through literature review of ritual culture. The second part mainly expounds problems exist in high school students, ritual culture attainment and the causes through questionnaire survey, providing basis to solve the problems. The third part discusses the important supplement from the ritual culture toward ideological and political education in high school through combination of the two, and offers educational resources to solve problems. The fourth part mainly expounds how to make the ritual culture throughout high school ideological and political education. The last part is conclusion. This thesis does a specific and in-depth research with combining theories of high school ideological, political education and specific, using the literature method, history method, empirical approach, Current societal situation, high school students’ state and teaching aims have also been given thought in this thesis, so increaseing the high school ideological and political education resources and means.
