STEAM is a hot topic in recent years in education. It represents one of the new multi-disciplinary education thoughts, on the background of internationality, advocating for knowledge in various fields through an integrated curriculum combines strengthening mutual cooperation between disciplines, to play a comprehensive education function. Many countries are actively carrying out stage STEAM, and create Maker Education as a form of STEAM education undertaken by the various countries concerned. Primary and secondary schools in our country have emerged to create customer-themed courses. The new version of "High school IT curriculum standards" also highlighted the use of hardware design projects, to achieve the ideal STEAM, improve students’ computational thinking ability. Arduino is often used to make idea to reality by Maker, which includes both hardware and software parts. Then what characteristics it represents in the computational thinking? For this issue of research results will help teachers realize the function of Arduino in cultivating students’ computational thinking, more helpful for the implementation of the Arduino projects. To address this problem, the present study do the following.First, according to the practice of making Arduino record off work experience, create Maker project design development model, based on the development of model development project off the record Arduino graphic learning materials.Second, the literature search. Finding a measure of computational thinking evaluation. Computational thinking evaluation criteria in combination to find, off the record for Arduino projects and C#, Scratch and VB projects were compared. Finally, a comparative analysis of the data for statistical analysis, the results of the analysis. After the above work, the study reached the following conclusions:1.Arduino Maker project with C#, Scratch and VB projects in computational thinking relative comparison does not reflect what characteristics. Therefore, it is considered to use Scratch and VB such courses at the secondary stage students can develop computational thinking ability, we do not necessarily need to use the Arduino create customer projects such as a combination of hardware and software projects.2.Arduino Maker project is based on creating questions, designed to solve the problem. Therefore, I think that the value point of Arduino project may not lie in the development of computational thinking, may lie in the use of Arduino projects record passenger train students to identify problems, and other aspects of problem-solving ability.
