Research On Network Communication From The Perspective Of Marx 's Communication Theory

With the great changes taking place in computer technology, network technology and communication technology, human society has already begun to enter the stage of information and networking. Internet communication as a communication form which adapt to the demand of epoch development has emerged. Marx’s Theory of Communication is an important part of historical materialism, it has the guiding significance to the emergence and development of new communication forms.This paper analyzes Internet communication by using Marx’s Theory of Communication, recognizes the connotations, types and characteristics and discusses the conveniences and problems which brought by Internet communication. Consequently, we can promote the beneficial and abolish the harmful so as to improve the development of Internet communication. This paper is divided into four parts to discuss Internet communication. The first part focuses on the topic basis, research methods and research status, at home and abroad. The second part describes the contents of Marx’s Theory of Communication, clarifies the concept of Marx’s Theory of Communication and concludes and major features of Marx’s Theory of Communication. The third part is beginning from evolution process of communication forms, it describes the concept of Internet communication which is a new communication form, generalizes main forms and features of Internet communication, in addition, it analyzes the emergence of Internet communication in the visual field of Marx’s Theory of Communication. The fourth part is beginning from a realistic perspective which describes the influence of Internet communication to human beings. This part analyzes the positive and negative results which the Internet communication brings. It expresses the expectation of the positive and healthy development of Internet communication by using Marx’s Theory of Communication. It also expresses the expectation to achieve free and comprehensive development of human beings and healthy and harmonious development of whole society by using Marx’s Theory of Communication.
