The ideological and political course in middle schools is different from general subjects of intellectual education. The teaching process has its own particularity,namely,it not only needs to solve the contradiction of "knowing " or "not knowing",but also has to resolve the contradiction of "believing " or "not believing" and "practicing " or "not practicing". Because behavior is decided by mentality,we should take students’ identification of the subject as the key precondition of resolving the contradiction of "practicing " or "not practicing". Through documents consultation,interview investigation,classroom observation and teaching reflection,this paper discusses the significance of improving credibility of the ideological and political course,and analyzes the influence factors in improving credibility from many aspects like the textbook,society,family,teachers and students. Based on these,this paper puts forward that the improving of the ideological and political course credibility could be realized through such channels as reinforcing the methodology education,increasing the proportion of practice,creating dilemma discussions,constructing the course resource system from students and building up an inter-subjectivity relationship between teachers and students. Furthermore,the teaching effect will be improved in this way,too.
