| Preschool teachers are the main part of the power of early childhood education. The stability of the preschool teachers directly affects the healthy development of early childhood education. In addition, the exit of the incumbency teachers is directly related to the quality of the activities of the children in the garden; the problem cannot be ignored. The research on both the quit behavior of the kindergarten teachers and the countermeasures has become an urgent problem in the development of early childhood education.By reading a large number of literature, scholars at home and abroad have done a lot of research in the aspect of teachers’ exit behavior: on the research object, researches focus more on teachers’ quit mechanism of universities, primary schools and secondary schools; there are few researches about the quit behavior of the preschool teachers, let alone the quit behavior of the kindergarten teachers. By questionnaire surveys and teacher interviews, this study explores the teachers’ quit behavior of XX district kindergarten of Kunming city to find out the countermeasures to change the present quit behavior of the in-service preschool teachers.Kunming is the capital city of Yunnan province, and XX district is an advanced representative district of this city. Since 2011, a lot of newly formed private kindergartens have gradually been under the jurisdiction of the bureau of education of XX district. The author selected XX district of Kunming city as the research area to study the quit behavior of the kindergarten teachers. By the questionnaire surveys on teachers’ quit behavior of 14 kindergartens in this district, the author collected data and summed up the current situation of kindergarten teachers’ quit behavior of the XX district in Kunming.In general, the kindergarten teachers’ quit behavior is not outstanding. Such behavior is much more outstanding for private kindergarten teachers than public kindergarten teachers; contract teachers showed more notable quit behavior than permanent teachers; but teachers who work in the public kindergartens and the permanent teachers suffer more psychological pressure than teachers of the private kindergartens and the contract teachers. Oddly enough, when facing the problem of choosing job again, compared with the public kindergarten teachers and the contract teachers, private kindergarten teachers and the contract teachers may prefer to work as the preschool teachers again.According to the investigation and analysis on the quit behavior of the kindergarten teachers, this paper tries to put forward some countermeasures and suggestions to weaken the quit behavior of the kindergarten teachers by increasing their salary, status and strengthening the management of them. The countermeasures and suggestions mainly include: to establish a reasonable system of human resource flow; to reform the management system of the kindergarten and raise the salary of the preschool teachers; to adhere to the government-led idea; to increase the supervision and investment of the private kindergartens, especially the qualified, potential ones, and to protect the personal rights and interests of preschool teachers. |
