The first decade of the 21 st century, the global Internet emerged two products, the appearance of them fundamentally changed our lives, sina weibo and tencent wechat.And with the continuous development of new media and network technology, we are leaded into a more convenient and large amount of information era, we call this the "micro age".This two products will undoubtedly become the symbol of our into "micro" age.Through a series of mobile terminals, only need 140 characters, only need to pay close attention, the phone will publish the information anytime and anywhere, you can see a hitherto unknown network transmission revolution is being seemingly and quietly changing.And information constantly change now, this revolution has been in the full swing, as a new kind of Internet communication tool, it is in a new way to change the people around us, and every aspect of our lives.More than that, from weibo, minute, micro films were the representative of the "little things" in the interpretation for this age.So, I try to start from daily life of contemporary college students- the background of the "micro age", through the questionnaire survey, literature research and focus group interview method primarily through qualitative research methods, explore new media literacy status of college students. And I try to enrich the contemporary college students of the new media literacy research content.In the contemporary new media environment, both traditional communicators and audiences, new media face the survival of new challenges. On the one hand, the present college students should use and criticism in such a background of new media, on the other hand, at the same time it is also important for the country’s future to build the social construction and education.In this study,it is based on the new media age-- "micro" era, through using questionnaire and depth interview to discussthe college students for the existence of the "micro" media present situation and the current situation, as a further explore new media literacy research method on the basis of college students.This paper start from the "micro" new era under the background of college students’ media literacy research, then analysis special survival environment of new media literacy for college students and college students acceptance of new media literacy deeply, by way of questionnaire survey from the survey of college students’ general situation of the whole new media literacy, the use of new media contact and understanding of new media literacy level, analysis further the new media habits of college students.At the same time also to understand of the college students’ cognition and using the frequency of media literacy exactly.Thirdly, combined with a large number of full and typical case, through the case analysis, found three problems of the "micro age" under the background of new media literacy of college students. Fourthly, from five aspects to summarize the current situation of college students’ new media literacy problems, and put forward the corresponding strategies to cope with the situation, at the same time, from micro media background and development course, i have introduced the characteristics and the main content and the management and application, and through the media of incidents of public opinion, etc under micro media age how to correct to do a great job of the new media literacy to guide college students.
