The research on the cognitive processing characteristics of the athletes’ decision-making process, by analyzing the mode of its visual search and then summing up the expert mode, has a certain theoretical and practical value in helping athletes improve the decision-making and movement ability.Target: This paper, through the experimental approach, analyze the behavior characteristics and the eye movement characteristics in the process of analyzing the expert and novice climber’s climbing route, discuss the expert climbers’ visual search pattern in the process of observing route.This research selected the members of the rock climbing team of Tianjin University of Sport as research object, 16 people in total, divided into the expert and novice team. There are 8 members(male: 5, female: 3) in the expert team(the climbers who have got the top 3 grades in the College Climbing Tournament); 8 members(male: 5, female: 3) in the novice team(the climbers who have had the rock climbing training for one year). The experimental design is single factor between subjects, the independent variable(expert-novice) is sports level, the dependent variable is the behavior index(consistency, validity, climbing time) and the eye movement index(the fixation time in the interest area, the fixation times in the interest area).On the basis of the preliminary experiment, the regulation of the difficulty coefficient in this experiment is 5.10c(the difficulty coefficient of the climbing difficulty route). The expert climbers and the novice climbers respectively analyze the route and climb along the route, in the whole process, record and do statistical analysis on the behavior data and the eye movement data, the conclusions as follows:1、Through the comparative analysis of the subjects’ oral climbing plan and the actual way of climbing in consistency, this paper compares and analyzes the two sets of data through the independent sample, t =-6.047,(* * * P < 0.001), there are significant differences. The consistency of the expert team is higher than the novice team, and by observing the cognitive processing route to search information, the expert team can obtain a more appropriate climbing plan.2、Through the statistical analysis of subjects’ action validity in the process of climbing, this paper compares and analyzes the two sets of data through the independent sample, t=-7.612,( P<0.001), there are significant differences. The validity of the expert team is higher than the novice team, The expert climbers reasonably analyze the climbing route through cognitive processing, and then reduce invalid action in the process of climbing.3、Through the statistical analysis of subjects’ climbing time, this paper compares and analyzes the two sets of data through the independent sample, t=-5.257,( P<0.01), there are significant differences. The climbing time the expert team use is obviously less than the novice team. The expert climbers climb according to the climbing plan, so they can finish the climbing more efficiently.4、Through the analysis of the subjects’ eye movement data of 4-minute watching the climbing route, this paper compares and analyzes the subjects’ fixation time in three areas through the independent sample, in the first area t=1.514,p=0.152﹥0.05,no difference;in the second area t=-3.144,p=0.007<0.01,significant difference; in the third area t=-1.95,p=0.095<0.01, significant difference. In the critical second area(difficult point) and the third area(end point), the expert team’s fixation time is longer, it states that the expert team can adjust the time and the visual search pattern according to the specific circumstances.5、Through the analysis of the subjects’ eye movement data of 4-minute watching the climbing route, this paper compares and analyzes the subjects’ fixation times in three areas through the independent sample, in the first area t=-0.107,p=0.917﹥0.05,no difference;in the second area t=-3.58,p=0.003<0.01,significant difference; in the third area t=-3.058,p=0.004<0.01 significant difference. In the critical second area(difficult point) and the third area(end point), the expert team’s fixation times are fewer, combing its fixation time, that is, in the critical areas, the expert team is characterized by longer fixation time and fewer fixation times. It states that the expert team process the information in depth in the critical area.6、Through the analysis of the subjects’ data of the first fixation and second fixation in the second area, This paper compares and analyzes the two sets of data through the independent sample, the expert team’s fixation time: t=-2.743,p=0.016﹤0.05,the novice team’s fixation time: t=-2.614,p=0.027﹤0.05,there are big differences between them. Meanwhile, the second fixation time of the expert team in the second area is longer than the novice team.
