A good teaching method can greatly motivate students’ learning potential. The previous teaching and learning pattern which characterizes passive learning, rote learning and rigid exercises cannot adapt to the education for all-around development. On the other hand, the study for educational psychology in math which emphasizes that we should change teachers’ teaching ideas and students’ learning ways develops rapidly and has a great effect on mathematical education. It is more important to improve the teaching efficiency of math courses for Grade 3 of senior high school. That means teachers not only impart knowledge, but also consider students’ psychological state. As a result, they can learn math well and do well in entrance exam math for college.First, this study applies a survey method to investigate how the Senior students of the liberal arts study mathematics in No.1 high school of YingJiang, to understand their learning motivation, learning interest of mathematics and how they know well about the subject. Secondly, in order to improve the teaching effiency of the art mathematics recitation in the Senior and provide some teaching cases which can reflect the learning effectiveness of Senior mathematics recitations, we have done an experimental study on the effectiveness of Senior math recitations for four months.We can come to the conclusion from the study that it is effective to use metacognitive training in the Senior recitations in YingJiang No.1 high scool.Students can develop good habits to study and solve problems in the metacognitive training. Using the metacognitive training to solve problems, students can gradually change their learning methods and strengthen summary and reflection. When they know it clearly that what they are doing, how to do and why they do it like that, which reflects their learning initiative, the students can develop good habits.In addition, the metacognitive training also can stimulate students’ interest in learning math, change their learning attitudes and find right learning methods to improve their math scores.It is a question that needs thinking deeply all our life for us teachers to study teaching. How to go on the math recitation of Senior effectivly? This is a question which need discussing far. This study is just in the beginning in YingJiang No.1 high school, there is no doubt that much need to be thougt and improved. Only the school and teachers devote much to the teaching can the math recitation of the Senior be done well. Thus we are able to promote the students’ development and improve the college entrance examination scores.
