General Technology has become one of the compulsory subjects of ordinary high school proficiency exam in schoolwork since China started to implement the eighth new curriculum reform. As Information Technology, General Technology is another compulsory course on technology. Students are required to master the basic technical knowledge and skills. The subject’s purpose is to improve the development of students’ personality and the cultivation of students’ creative thinking. With the improvement of the position of proficiency exam in educational evaluation of Chinese curriculum, General Technology has attracted more and more attention. The test research on General Technology has the leading role of improvement and perfection for the examination system. But the time of General Technology’s implement in China is short, professional research on the General Technology proficiency exam is less. The time of implement of the proficiency exam of General Technology in all parts of the country is also different, so the test questions from all education departments proposition are not the same, which bring great difficulties in the research of general systems and the technical examination. This paper takes the ordinary high school proficiency exam of General Technology of Shaanxi Province in 2014 and Xinjiang autonomous region in 2012 as the research object, carries on the research and comparison of exam papers and answers to the two provinces in order to find out the similarities and differences of the ordinary high school proficiency exams of General Technology, and puts forward some suggestions for improvement.Based on the ordinary high school proficiency exams of General Technology of Shaanxi Province in 2014 and Xinjiang autonomous region in 2012, the paper carries on comparative research with the two General Technology’s curriculum standards, teaching ideas, curriculum goals. The paper carries on analysis and research with the contents of the two test papers, capacity requirements, types of examination questions, test paper quality and other aspects. The paper takes comprehensive and systematic analysis to the two tests.Firstly, the paper describes the status, the research work and the significance of our ordinary high school proficiency exam in schoolwork. The paper takes the domestic and the foreign relevant exams and research literature into comparison in order to find out the deficiencies and the research method to the ordinary high school proficiency exam in schoolwork.Secondly, the paper discusses the high school curriculum standard of General Technology of Shaanxi province and Xinjiang autonomous region, and analyses the curriculum standards from the curriculum ideas and the curriculum evaluation.Thirdly, the paper analyses the senior high school academic proficiency tests of General Technology in Shaanxi province and Xinjiang autonomous region. It analyses the numbers of the questions, ability requirements, the scores of the test knowledge and the students’ answering to the exams.Fourthly, the paper makes a summary of the full text of both sides of the exams, and makes recommendations for improvement of making papers.The research and analysis of Shaanxi province and Xinjiang General Technology proficiency test researches whether the two tests achieve the curriculum standards and whether the two tests can comprehensively evaluate the General Technology curriculum in high school teaching. Besides, the paper assesses the teaching situation of General Technology in our country and puts forward the recommendations for the improvement of academic proficiency tests.
