Independent learning is an important part of teaching activities, it is a process or activity, but also an ability and self-learning is the opposite of his main learning and rote learning. Independent study refers to the whole learning activities, give full play to the subjective initiative learners actively construct knowledge and continuous regulation of a state of their own learning and learning processes. To promote independent learning, which aims to train students in the learning process and give full play to their initiative, proactive ability to construct knowledge. Currently Zimmerman is a professor of popular social cognition independent study on school framework.In this study, based on the theoretical framework to analyze the composition of the high school biology experiment Learner Autonomy, that self-motivation, resource utilization capacity, metacognitive ability, experiment planning and communication and collaboration capabilities to Xi’an Chang’an Ⅱ middle school Students in the Teaching of Experimental Biology is an object of high grade two classes of students have been studied, including a class for teaching biology class experiment teaching mode according to the independent study, and the other classes remains unchanged original teaching mode. In teaching practice in three months, through questionnaires, detection methods papers, interviews and classroom observation of the experiment and analyze the results of this experiment, we draw the following conclusions:1. Use in biological experiments lesson in independent learning model of experimental classes for biology experiments master theoretical knowledge and operating skills, significantly better than the independent learning model does not use a control class. Paper detection t test results showed that the pre-test p= 0.275, no significant difference between the average score of the two classes; the higher the average post-test experimental class score, p= 0.02, two classes were significantly different.2. The present classroom observation studies show that the use of self-learning courses in biological experiments in the experimental class in Keqianyuxi case, experimental operation skills, self-management and communication and cooperation ability is stronger than not using self-learning control group of students. In which case the differences are expected to preview and test skills of the most significant, p= 0.01 and 0.002, respectively.3. Survey results show that in the control class, the pre-test and post-test results not significantly different; experimental group, the post-test high school students overall score increased focus in 52-58 minutes, indicating students’self-learning ability has improved.The interviews showed that the use of the experimental class independent learning model of interest in biological experiments lesson in biology class experiment, self-management skills and a sense of self-efficacy was significantly better than not using self-learning control group students.5. Based on these findings, this study proposes a policy of high school biology experiment Students’Autonomous Learning Ability as follows: ① stimulate motivation to improve students’ self-motivation; ② use of modern information technology to improve students’ ability to use resources; ③ strengthen demonstration and interactive discussions to improve students’ test planning capabilities; ④ through task-driven, improve students’metacognitive ability; ⑤ freely form cooperative groups, improve the ability of students’ active participation and teamwork.In summary, self-learning is an effective way of learning, specific performance of high school students in high school biology class experiment using self-learning approach to learning, to stimulate student interest in learning biology, improve student learning consciousness, students sense of innovation and creativity, improve test planning and communication and teamwork of students. In high school biology experiment, the students’ self-learning ability and help improve teaching effectiveness and student teachers’ ability to help achieve a good national curriculum standards, is a worthy advocate and promote the teaching the way.
