High school chemistry curriculum as an important part of science education.is one of high school core curriculum. it to cultivate students’ scientific literacy and promote the all-round development of students has an irreplaceable role. Along with the advancement of elementary education curriculum reform, countries have also started the reform of chemistry course. Textbook is the course of the backing, is the direct embodiment of concept of curriculum reform, textbook’s quality will directly affect the quality of personnel training and curriculum standards can be implemented. Therefore, a comparative study to the textbook, helps to push forward the reform of new curriculum in our country, and is conducive to the development of basic education. Organic chemistry is the study of organic compounds, composition, structure, properties, preparation methods and applications of science, and it occupies a very important position in high school chemistry course. And select what knowledge can embody the organic chemistry discipline characteristic, the knowledge and how to layout and presentation, to facilitate students to study effectively, and promote the all-round development of students? This research conforms to the international requirements of curriculum reform, and select relatively developed six typical countries in the basic education worldwide:China, the United States, Japan, Singapore, Russia, Australia, the mainstream of the high school chemistry textbooks. Study the content of organic chemistry in the textbooks. Referencing previous model of teaching material analysis and comparison, The research analyze the characteristics of national textbooks mainly from the selection of knowledge, knowledge arrangement, presentation, experiment design, column setting, the problem sets. Summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of organic chemistry textbooks in our country, and provide reference and enlightenment for the writing of the textbook in our country.Through comparative study on the characteristics of the content of organic chemistry, the following conclusions:First, China for selecting a systematic comprehensive content of organic chemistry, but too much emphasis on knowledge centered, reflected in the textbooks STS content is less. So should pay more attention to the equalization of the content, Next content selection should pay attention to the comprehensive and cross discipline.Second, China’s column are troubling columns and activity in the textbooks, pay attention to training students’ thinking ability and practice ability. Compared with foreign textbooks, Chinese textbooks lack of integration with information technology program settings.Third, The number of organic chemistry experiment in Chinese textbooks is the most in all countries. science inquiry as an important manifestation of experiment, to improve the students’ ability to explore. But the design of experiment content lack of life and fun, And for the security seriously insufficient, remains to be further strengthened.Fourth,The small number of Chinese textbook exercises, and can’t meet the needs of students in the learning level, therefore, should be appropriate to increase the number of problem sets, and the hierarchy of problem sets and targeted needs to be strengthened.
