As a new high school geography curriculum reform continued to deepen, important branch of geography, natural geography gradually formed its own knowledge system in the process of development. Its content is distributed throughout the high school geography teaching material. Due to its special nature and the current status of subject, natural geography in high school there is difficulty in the learning of students, namely, the "poor student". The poor student is special group in high school, not only affect the college entrance examination, but also may bring immeasurable influence in the future life and work. According to the core idea of the new curriculum which states that "all for the sake of the development of every student", the causes of poor student should be researched, and puts forward corresponding measures, in order to achieve the requirements of new curriculum concept. The seven modules high school geography, "the universe and the earth", "ocean geography", "natural disaster", "environmental protection" and other module involves the basic principle of physical geography, the basic law of physical geography and the basic process of physical geography. This article studies the natural geographical poor student with difficulty in high school compulsory module geographical 1.Based on the "constructivism learning theory", "cognitive learning theory", "humanistic learning theory", "behaviorism learning theory" and so on, this research established a theory framework to explore the natural geographical poor student. Referred to a large number of literature and "full-time compulsory education geography curriculum standards (2011 edition)", "the full-time compulsory education geography curriculum standard (experiment draft)", this research analyzed the characteristics of the geographical features, natural geography disciplines impacts on natural geographical poor student.With literature review on students with learning difficulties, discipline-specific binding properties of the natural geography and location of the development of the study, a questionnaire was designed to investigate the high school physical geography learning situation. Investigation and analysis was conducted upon the physical geography learning phenomenon, reasons of geographical learning difficulties, subjective and objective factors of physical geography. Meanwhile, according to the requirements of the new curriculum for teachers, especially geography teacher, a survey was designed to interview teachers about the situation to fully explore the impact of geography teachers in the teaching process of the natural geography poor students, and then make reasonable measures to figure out a solution.From the statistical analysis of student questionnaires and it is found that the difficult to learn natural geography accounted for 40 percent of the total number of students. Through interviews with teachers, it is found that 2/3 geography teachers believe that students have difficult in studying physical geography. Based on the results of statistical analysis, combined with previous research results for students with learning difficulties, the paper further analyzed the natural geography of high school students trapped production reasons. The conclusions are:weak natural geography basics; lack of interest in learning and motivation is not strong; lack of master of the scientific and rational approach to learning; failure to develop good study habits; low cognitive ability and physical geography teachers and school, family and community have directly and indirectly effect on students directly and indirectly effect.According to the results of high school students natural geography difficulty, combined with the specific case of helping poor students explore strategies:For subjects factors, the need to reflect on the teaching of subject characteristics, showing discipline charm. For personal reasons, the need to improve the basic knowledge to guide students to strengthen motivation, optimization of learning methods, develop good study habits, improve cognitive ability. For teachers factors, need to highlight in teaching practice teaching heavy and difficult to improve geography teacher professionalism, implementation of individualized. School, family and society should play their roles well, play to their strengths, to create a good environment for learning, and promote healthy growth of students, students with learning difficulties to help students get rid of the shadow.
