Although Qinghai belongs to the football developing province, there are good tradition and foundation for the development of football sports. Football has strong social influence and municipal representative and plays an important role in the social cultural construction of Capital Xining, the political, economic and cultural center of Qinghai province. Undoubtedly, the growing participation of amateur sports is of significance for improving the football level of Xining, increasing the number of football sport participators, promoting the development of national fitness activities and providing a reference basis for the in-depth development of city public amateur football elsewhere. This paper studies from the amateur football group participation of Xining, surveys relevant objects, and utilizing the method of sociology, statistics by scientific classification and inspection, analysis for the obtained data, finally draws the following conclusion:1、The amateur football participants from Xining mainly range in age from 20 to 40 years old with a college degree or above.2、The numerous amateur football participants from Xining mainly work in public institutions and enterprises with an income of medium level. Their main purpose is to make friends through fitness and entertainment activities, only participating in football games once or twice a week.3、The amateur football teams of Xining are mostly organized freely or formed by employers, mainly funded by membership fees or personal endowments. Most teams lack administrative rules and manage themselves in a more casual way. Thus, the developing problems faced by the amateur football teams are the unstable finance resources and absence of technology guidance.4、There are a variety of factors influencing the participation of amateur football teams from Xining, including seasonal effect, lack of sports venues, poor facilities and absence of management and guidance.5 、 The problems of amateur football teams from Xining city lies in the non-standard team structure, lack of necessary training and guidance, unstable and even few finance resources, serious personnel dispersion and greater mobility.6、The participation of amateur football in Xining varies seasonally. Since most participants are not willing to play football in the winter, cold weather is one of the important reasons influencing football activities in winter.
