The Application Of Supplementary Cases In The Teaching Of Geography And Compulsory Learning In Senior High School

High school geography compulsory three mainly adopts case teaching method to explain. In actual teaching, in order to fully implement the curriculum standard as well as ensure the students have a profound understanding of the teaching contents, we often supplement teaching cases by deep analysis and summary so as to achieve the teaching effect. Supplemented by case teaching method called supplementary case teaching method.Based on this, this paper takes four parallel classes of 2-years high school students from Xiongyue high school in Liaoning province, of which two classes are considered as the experimental class, using supplementary case teaching while the other two classes are the controlled classes, using existing teaching case. The author combined basic data collection, literature review with questionnaire survey together. Based on analyzing the existing teaching case in high school geography compulsory three, the author added a number of teaching cases again during teaching process and then analyzed and summarized those teaching cases by qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results showed that:(1) high school geography compulsory three used 7 supplementary teaching case;(2) the application of the 7 supplementary teaching cases can effectively help students understand and consolidate the knowledge content as well as cultivate the students ability of discovering and exploring problems, which can promote the students’ cooperation and communication between each other and improve the students’ interest in geography subject;(3) Compared with the control class, Xiongyue high school two experimental classes of the mid-term exam, final exam average scores were increased by 7.5% and 13%, which proves that high school geography compulsory three application 7 supplementary teaching case has a remarkable effect.
