In order to adapt the needs of rapid and healthy development of economy, and society andcontinuously quality improving of citizens. Since1999, our country implement a policy toexpand the enrollment scale in higher education, to accelerate the process of popularization ofhigher education, to promote the transition of higher education from elite education to masseducation. The implementation of this policy makes the arising a large number of multi-campus,large scale universities in our country. With the generation of multi-campus, there are a lot ofdisadvantages appeared. Proposed an objective and rational understanding and evaluationaccording to the data collecting and cost statistics and analysis for the Multi-campus universityissues and put forward the proposals about the cost management issues of running theMulti-campus university from the cost accounting, controlling and sharing point of view.The cost running a school of multi-campus university is this paper’s research object. Theliterature material method, data analysis,case study method, etc method were adopted to surveyand research. On the basis of analysis the research background of the cost running a school ofmulti-campus university, the main concepts that involved in the process of running a school weredescribed, and the research achievements of previous scholars to be summarized, the externaland internal factors of the cost running a school in multi-campus universities were analyzed.Take an multi-campus university for example, the proportions of running schools’ cost and theefficient use of cost for the multi-campus is analyzed, which indicated the issues of cost whenrunning a multi-campus university and trying to fix problems such as cost management issues,financial pressures and so forth from the cost accounting, controlling and sharing point of view.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part in the introduction to the Summary ofbackground and multi-campus University study abroad cost analyzes summarized the findingsbefore the extraction of some scholars to be detailed, and involves the study of the main theconcept will be explained. The second part describes the theoretical basis of the study is based onthe cost of running the human capital theory, economic theory of public education, cost sharingand economies of scale theory-based theory, and explains the relationship between theories andrunning costs of a variety of studies.The third part mainly analyzed the factors to affect running aschool, including external factors and internal factors. The external factors including economicand social factors, respectively, including inflation, supply and demand, and economic conditions where school located.Besides, national policies and university competition is also included.Andthe internal factors are mainly related to the scale of the school, the scientific of teachingmethods, and the level of the management in their school. The fourth part is taking someoneUniversity for example, to compare its cost multi-campus before and after school, whichrevealed the problems raised. The last part of that is from a different point view of managementon how to effective control and optimize the cost of university resources to give reasonableadvice, including examining the cost of running the school from the costing process point ofview, from the perspective of strict cost control limit the use of college costs amount to ease theprocess of running universities increased cost pressures from the perspective of cost-sharing,trying to avoid weaknesses, and promote long-term development of universities.
