Legal education of contemporary junior high school students is no longer theresponsibility and obligation of Administrative Departments and the schools, butrather a social project. Forming a full range of solid legal education network andenforcing contemporary legal education to junior high school students areimminent.To truly understand the contemporary status of legal education of today’sjunior-high school students’, the author has conducted a survey on700studentsrandomly from12middle schools of Binzhou City. The questionnaire touched uponissues such as the form, frequency of in-school legal education, how much it wasliked by students, family legal education, junior crime knowledge and legalknowledge acquiring channels. Survey shows though legal education was carried outactively in middle school, it was contained in moral education as a minor lessimportant part and is not given enough attention.School legal education wasconducted in traditional class room, based on the established legal norms enablingstudents to adapt to the norms, and not giving full play to the initiative of students.Schools will employ legal education activities carried out in the justice sector workersentered the campus, but these kinds of activities only occasionally for lack ofpersistence, it is difficult to form a deep, long-term impact.Junior school is an important phase of life and enforced legal education to juniorschools is necessary requirement to guarantee the health growth of young people andharmonious society construction and training of tens of thousands of qualifiedbuilders and successors who knows the law, observe the law and use the law. Juvenilelegal education should be combined with contemporary junior student characters andimprove the proper ways and methods. Teacher should strengthen the legal educationawareness while decreasing legal knowledge impartation. Legal knowledge is a legalprerequisite and basis of consciousness, is a means of imparting legal knowledge,building consciousness for the purpose of law. The ultimate goal of legal education isto enable students to knowledge into their own legal concepts and legal beliefs, intolaw, usages, law-enforcement actions. Cultivating students ’ consciousness of law, but also from the student daily behavior gradually penetrated and guide students todevelop law-abiding, good habits from everyday to continuously consolidate andstrengthen law consciousness, and the formation of law-abiding, custodian of theusage and behavior. Strengthening legal education for junior high school students isdirectly related to the country’s construction of democracy and legal system, therelationship between the prosperity of our motherland and is related to the SocialistSociety of harmony and stability.
